Tokyo Fashion + Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

Tokyo Fashion + Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

Tokyo Fashion is a magazine site on, as the name says, Tokyo fashion. They introduced to me many awesome brands in Harajuku. Of course not in person but they do put many videos on YouTube. They upload many interviews, parades, fashion walks and a lot more. They upload many photos daily on their website or app of people with crazy outfits or to them normal outfits. They are always up to date of fashion news in Tokyo. Even though I cannot attend to ANY of them but it's still fun to see some pictures of the event.

They recently went to 6% DOKIDOKI's photo shoot for their first bilingual mook(magazine/book)!

I just ADORED the outfits and background! The models were also very cute! I also loved Masuda Sebastien's hat, it looks like the mad hatter's.

How many of you readers know Kyary Pamyu Pamyu? Not many, right? Well she is someone just as good as PSY. Maybe even better. Kyary is a model and JPop(Japanese pop)singer who wears crazy but cute outfits. She is well known in Harajuku because of her Harajuku style clothing. She also represents 6% DOKIDOKI. Kyary is not only cute but her music is just as cute and weird. Her music videos are weird as heck! Check out her MV PONPONPON!

Any of guys find that normal? Well I don't but I still like it very much. It's repetitive but very catchy just like Gangnam Style! Though Kyary's is more cute.

Anyway I know this post was short and not that good but I really wanted to do at least two post per months so ya... It's 11:53 pm so I better go to sleep and maybe I will update this post to make it better. If not I will remake this post in May! Hope every is excited for the sunny Summer that is coming soon cause I am!!!!!!! C:

Harajuku

            COLORFUL HARAJUKU

Have any of you guys ever heard of Harajuku? Well if you haven't then you'll discover a  crazy colorful world! A place where nobody is can be called weird or ugly.

Harajuku is a shopping district between Shinjuku and Shibuya. Every Sunday, a bunch of young people will go to Harajuku to hang out and of course most of them will dress up a bit or more like a lot. The picture above is just an example of a tiny portion of the people in Harajuku. As you can see, they aren't dressed like how we would on a regular Sunday. All of the styles of the world unite in this shopping district. Emo, visual kei, goth, lolita, decora, ganguro, hipster, vintage, hip hop, rockers, cosplay, every kind of style you can think of!

Today I will be introducing to you guys some of the most seen fashion styles. So let's start! XD

               KAWAII DECORA

Kawaii Decora is probably my most favorite fashion style out of all of them. If you translate it in English, it would be Cute Decoration. It's a very crazy, colorful and overloaded fashion style. The arms are usually full with crazy bracelets and the hair will be full of hair accessories. Usually the clothes are colorful and same with the shoes. Toys and plushies are a big part of Kawaii Decora. Sometimes it's a hair accessory or a bag. OH! I also forgot to mention that they have colorful hair as well. :D

                Visual Kei

Ah~ Visual Kei, I love this style just as much as Kawaii Decora. It's kind of a mix of punk and goth. Their clothes are usually black, red, white, the usual dark colors. It is more crazy and less casual. They tend to have medium length or long hair. The hair's usually  layered and styled like the ones you see above. Of course, some or most of the people will wear makeup. Usually heavy eyeliner and lipstick. Visual Kei is actually quite normal in Japan. Most rock band are either goth or visual kei like Dir En Grey, The Gazette, LM.C, Ayabie, Malice Mizer, etc.

                  Lolita

Lolita is a really elegant and cute style. The clothing involves a lot of frills and ruffly knee high dresses. They use a lot of floral accessories. Also bows and lace are used a lot. Most lolita are either Gothic or bright and cute like the 4 girls in the picture. Simply described, Lolita is a cute and floral princess like style.

So I finally finished introducing to you guys, the three main styles in Harajuku. There is more but I wanted to finish this post before the end of April. I had so much to do this month, I couldn't find anytime to finish this post. But I still hope you found out a bit more about Harajuku and make sure to check out TokyoFashion to find out about the stores and more on Harajuku!
